Thomas Liu

Thomas_Liu_Thomas (Huan-Cheng) Liu is a student with proven advocacy, management, and program skills, double majoring in Government and Business Analytics (Data Science) at William & Mary. After joining UNA-NCA as a high school sophomore via volunteering for Global Classrooms DC, Thomas designed the Sustainable Development Committee’s nationally televised event “Congress and the SDGs,” and he initiated a high-level SDGs forum featuring three ambassadors and high-level diplomatic representatives. At college, he is the Executive Director for the Global Innovation Challenge (WMGIC), a premier hack-a-thon style international and sustainable development case competition, and served as the student voice on the university-wide Committee for Sustainability. Thomas has experience interning or working at the US House of Representatives, Peace Corps, Society for International Development - Washington Chapter (SID-W), TechChange, and served on Williamsburg, VA’s Social Service Advisory Board. Thomas is passionate about Sustainable Development and aspires to work in Global Development Finance and or Development Consulting.

Vision Statement
As the Undergraduate Student Representative, Thomas is prepared to support inter-campus SDGs advocacy and event programming through working with the UNA-NCA and UNA-USA offices, campus chapters, chapter leaders, and other like-minded university organizations. Additionally, Thomas plans on strengthening his involvement in UNA-NCA’s programs, such as but not limited to the Sustainable Development Committee and Global Classrooms DC. Lastly, Thomas hopes to serve as a bridge between students and the Board of Directors.
