Aapta Garg is a Senior Policy Advocate for Gender with CARE USA, where she manages CARE’s gender portfolio and works to leverage the U.S. government’s approach and policies as it regards gender equality and inclusion. In that capacity she also sits as the co-chair for the Big Ideas Coalition, the Coalition to End Gender-based Violence Globally, and the Coalition for Women’s Economic Empowerment and Equality. She received her Master’s Degree in International Development with a focus on Gender and Development from American University’s School of International Service and has a BA in Political Science and Hispanic Studies from Vassar College.
