UNA-NCA President Speaks on UN History and Reform

UNA-NCA President, Ambassador Donald T. Bliss (Ret.) presents "The United Nations at 70: How Well is it Doing? How Can it Be Strengthened?"

UN70-logoAmbassador Don Bliss (rtd), President of UNA-NCA, addressed the Rotary Club of Washington DC on Wednesday, December 2nd. The subject of his talk was  The United Nations at 70: How  Well Is It Doing? How Can it be Strengthened? Bliss discussed several reform proposals that are being considered at the UN, including a more transparent and democratic process in selecting the next Secretary General in 2016. He was introduced by Rotary member and UNA-NCA Advisory Council member, Bob Schott, who arranged for the talk, which was followed by a lively question and answer session.
