Simone Laws is a rising fourth-year at American University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Global and Comparative Governance and Peace, Global Security, and Conflict Resolution in sub-Saharan Africa. Simone is from Oregon but was raised overseas in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Nairobi, Kenya. This international experience inspired her to study international relations and gain experience interning with the U.S. Senate, U.S. Department of State, and currently with UNA-NCA. Simone hopes to continue developing her public service career skillset in such high-level positions and looks forward to making a positive impact in United Nations advocacy through her role as a Growth Initiatives intern at the UNA-NCA.
