Natasha De La Cruz is the program assistant for the United Nations Association National Capital Area (UNA-NCA) Graduate Fellows Program. She is a recent law school graduate from Vermont Law and Graduate School with a background in environmental law and environmental justice. In this role, Natasha hopes to use her legal background to help with UN initiatives including but not limited to environment and climate, sustainable development, human rights, and international law.
In her most recent role, Natasha served as a Maryland Sea Grant State Science Policy Fellow where she assisted the Office of the Secretary in implementing environmental policy initiatives for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. She is passionate about protecting coastal communities that are disproportionately impacted by climate change. Natasha has recently been admitted to the DC bar and hopes to practice environmental law in the DMV region.
