Despite the disproportionate global impact of conflict and displacement on women, they remain significantly underrepresented in peace negotiations. Yet, research shows that the inclusion of women in these efforts contributes to more sustainable and inclusive outcomes. The panel discussion will convene young professionals and emerging leaders to explore the critical role of women in peacebuilding processes. This event will highlight the importance of gender representation in peacebuilding, considering how international institutions such as the United Nations can more effectively support these efforts.
