Danille Dean
During her tenure as Vice Chair, she has collaborated closely with UNA-NCA staff and members to develop advocacy engagements that align with our chapter members' interests and UNA-USA advocacy priorities. Her committee has successfully hosted events on critical topics such as the importance of the UN system and the value of strong US participation in UN agencies, as well as specific topics on environmental sustainability, women's rights, immigrants' rights, and criminal justice reform. They have also joined sign on letters and hosted joint programs with partner civil society organizations. These efforts are part of a long-term strategy to influence
legislation and educate members on issues that bridge the local community with global human rights and international treaties.

Her professional background provides a strong foundation for this role, with expertise in policy, legislative affairs, and advocacy across the nonprofit and corporate sectors, particularly in technology and data security. She is an attorney who currently serves as a privacy policy expert at Meta (formerly Facebook). Prior to this, she gained valuable experience at organizations including Hewlett Packard Enterprises, the NCTA-The Cable Trade Association, and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).
