Oluwatosin Pinmiloye

Master of Public Policy (MPP) Student, University of Maryland College park

Oluwatosin Pinmiloye is a Master of Public Policy student specializing in International Development Policy and International Security & Economic Policy at the University of Maryland (UMD), College Park. She currently works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UMD. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, a Master of Science in Information Systems with a concentration in Health Analytics, and a Master of Science in Health Sciences. She is also a former Graduate Fellow of the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (UNA-NCA) with a strong commitment to public service, student advocacy, global governance, and international collaboration.

At UMD, Oluwatosin serves as a Graduate Student Senator in the University Senate, Community Outreach Coordinator for Women in Public Policy, Student Representative for Public Policy graduate students, and Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee within the Graduate Student Government. Through these leadership roles, she has worked to strengthen student engagement, promote equity and inclusion, and foster collaboration among students, faculty, and administrators.

Having studied abroad in the Philippines, she developed strong intercultural communication and global engagement skills. As a Student Representative for UNA-NCA, she hopes to connect students across the National Capital Area, increase awareness of the United Nations’ mission, and create meaningful opportunities for collaboration, leadership, and civic engagement among diverse student communities.

Vision Statement:

My vision is to strengthen student engagement with UNA-NCA by building inclusive partnerships across universities, increasing awareness of the United Nations’ mission, and creating opportunities for leadership, advocacy, and collaboration. I aim to empower students to become active leaders and contributors to global dialogue, international cooperation and sustainable development.
