Carsyn Levitt

Carsyn Levitt is a rising senior at the University of Maryland, where she studies Government and Politics with a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. During her senior year, she will also begin pursuing a Master’s Degree in International Relations. She is passionate about international affairs, public policy, and using research and advocacy as tools to drive meaningful change. Carsyn's interest in politics was rooted in a commitment to social justice and a desire to understand how policy decisions shape the lives of people around the world. She has grown and explored these interests through her coursework on international issues, including the civil war in Sudan and environmental and women’s rights policy in the developing world. Carsyn is excited to bring her research, writing, and communications skills to Global Classrooms DC and to contribute to the mission of educating the next generation of global citizens!
