Himaja Balusa
Himaja Balusa works as the Global Classrooms DC (GCDC) Program Coordinator for UNA-NCA. She recently graduated with an M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She graduated with a double B.A. in International Relations and Women, Gender & Sexuality from the George Washington University, and previously interned with Represent Women, a non-profit that seeks gender-balance in elected and appointed positions in governance. She is passionate about international education, conflict resolution, gender equality and human rights. She has written for a variety of publications on a plethora of topics, and Himaja is excited to use her academic and professional expertise within the field of advocacy to support the work done by the GCDC program to educate young people about international issues.
