Lydia Daniels
My name is Daniela Gava Duarte, and I am a Brazilian lawyer with three years of professional experience. I earned my law degree in 2019 and am currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the University of Maryland. As a Black woman deeply committed to advancing human rights, racial equity, and understanding the intersectionality of gender and race, I bring both personal passion and professional dedication to these critical issues.

During my academic journey, I conducted research on Public Policies Developed to Oppose Racism in Brazil, which enriched my understanding of the systemic challenges faced by marginalized communities in my country. Looking ahead, I aim to leverage my legal and policy expertise to design equitable policies, empower underrepresented groups, and foster meaningful change both in Brazil and on a global scale.
