Lydia Daniels
Rebecca Lee Haws is a native of Taylorsville, Utah. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Whittier College and a Master of Arts in Social Science from the University of Chicago and commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy in February 2012.

Now a Lieutenant Commander, Rebecca has deployed at sea as part of Electronic Attack Squadron 137 (VAQ-137). Overseas, she served at U.S. Forces Korea; U.S. Africa Command; U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Joint Intelligence Operations Center; Naval Forces Korea Detachment Chinhae; and, as Aide-de-Camp to the Commander of United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/U.S. Forces Korea.

Rebecca is currently part of the Secretary of Defense Strategic Thinkers Program 2025 cohort enrolled at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C., from which she will earn a Master of International Public Policy.
