Saurabh is pursuing a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University, specializing in energy and climate policy. He participated in a semester abroad program at the Hertie School in Berlin to broaden his specialization from a European perspective. Saurabh brings over 7 years of professional experience encompassing military service, innovation consulting, and public sector innovation. He began his career as a Naval Officer, serving in the Indian Coast Guard for 4 years. Through a unique interdepartmental promotion, he joined the Defense Innovation Organization (DIO) as an Innovation Consultant, where he led technology development projects driving innovation through public-private partnerships that advanced both national security and economic development. Beyond this, he led Himalayan expeditions, did political consulting in rural India, and volunteered as an English facilitator for engineering students in Italy. Saurabh holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s in marine technology.
