I have written four books on international affairs including most recently the NYT bestseller and NYT 2024 notable book “The Return of Great Powers.” My work has a special emphasis on great power competition among the U.S., Russia and China as well as middle powers Iran and North Korea.
Before joining CNN, Jim Sciutto served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Ambassador Gary Locke at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, where he advised on U.S.-China relations and key diplomatic initiatives. Prior to his government service, he was Senior Foreign Correspondent for ABC news.
