Director of Advocacy, Communications, and Partnerships at Data2X
Lanice C. Williams is the Director of Advocacy, Communications, and Partnerships at Data2X, where she leads advocacy efforts to advance gender data as a critical tool for achieving gender equality. She brings over 11 years of leadership experience in research, policy, and program implementation across the United States, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Before joining Data2X, Lanice served as a Senior Program Officer at Jhpiego, where she provided strategic management for the MOSAIC project and the RISE HIV HOP activity. Her technical expertise spans gender equality and integration, HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, and health equity. Lanice is a 2016–2017 Global Health Corps alumna and a 2022 WomenLift Health North America Leadership Journey Fellow. She holds a Master of Science in Health Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University.

Now more than ever organizations like UNA-NCA are needed to continue to advocate for a strong U.S. and UN partnerships and bring the local perspective of the SDGs in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. As the current co-chair of the Young Professional Program, I am honored to be nominated to serve and support UNA-NCA’s Board of Directors. I hope to develop diverse programs for young professional in the DMV area and strengthen our pipeline of inter-generational leaders by increasing opportunities for YP members to serve in leadership roles across the organization.
