Sia Nowrojee is the Associate Vice President, Girls and Women Strategy at the United Nations Foundation. A seasoned women’s rights advocate, Sia has more than 30 years of experience in international and community development, addressing a range of issues including gender equality, sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice, and pluralism, good governance and localization. Prior to joining the Girls and Women team, Sia was Senior Director at Girl Up, Executive Director of the 3D Program for Girls and Women, and a Senior Consultant with UNICEF and the Aga Khan Development Network. She serves on the Global Board of the International Center for Research on Women, and previously served on the Global Advisory Board of WomenLift Health, and the Learning Working Group of the Movement for Community-Led Development. Sia has a Master of Social Services and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bryn Mawr College.
