GCDC Community Benefits

Original Global Education Curriculum

GCDC’s uniquely designed global education curriculum introduces students to the United Nations, international issues, and country perspectives through Model UN. Model UN allows them to practice key skills, including writing, researching, public speaking, negotiation, and advocacy while debating, representing countries in the UN, and having fun!

There are eight units with three lessons each. Each unit includes activities that introduce students to a topic based on the Sustainable Development Goals, hones a critical skill, and finishes with a discussion on the topic through a mini Model UN simulation. Units can be covered in order, be adapted based on country and state curriculum requirements, and be used to be a cross-curricular activity.
