The Global Classrooms DC Volunteer Program is a way to connect those who live and work in the Washington metropolitan area with schools and students. The Volunteer Program supports students as they learn more about the world beyond their neighborhood through the people who work in their city.

Volunteer as a:

Classroom Speaker/Foreign Policy Mentor

Speak to classrooms in-person or virtually about international issues, and share your professional regional or topical expertise with students and educators.

Model UN Mentor

Engage with classrooms to help students and teachers learn skills important to Model United Nations, prepare for Model UN Conferences, run mini-simulations, and more!
Prior Model UN experience required.

GCDC Conference Policy Advisor

Act as the "home government" to various delegations at the Fall Training Conference and/or the Spring Model UN Conference. Advise student delegates on their country's positions, alliance-building, and resolution-writing, while also encouraging students to engage and participate in committee sessions.

GCDC Conference Supporter

Assist during Fall Model UN Training Conference and/or the Spring Model UN Conference by providing logistical support before and during the conferences. To help our events for students run smoothly volunteers are needed for committee support, videography, photography, security and registration, and more.
