Winter Training Conference 2026
The annual Winter Model UN Training Conference is an opportunity for students to build basic Model UN skills, including public speaking skills, resolution writing, and research on country positions. During the conference, students have the chance to work with fellow delegates from all over the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Registration will open soon!

Eligibility
The Winter Training Conference is open to all middle and high school students in grades 5 – 12.Key highlights:
- Designed to teach students about Model UN policies and procedures.
- One-day training conference
- Prep materials tailored for students new to Model UN in Unit 2 of the GCDC Community
- Optional position papers
Registration & Fees:
Student Delegate Fees (GCDC Year-Round Community Schools):
- $25 Public / Public Charter Schools in MD & VA
- $35 Private / Out-of-Region Schools or Groups (including independents)
- $10 Public / Public Charter Schools in Washington DC
- FREE Title I DCPS/ DC Public Charter Schools fees are covered by donations and grants
- $20 Additional Faculty / Chaperone Fee (Year-Round program includes 1 faculty ticket)
Student Delegate Fees (non - GCDC Year-Round Community Schools):
- $40 for non-GCDC YR Public Schools/Public Charters in MD & VA
- $50 for non-GCDC YR Private Schools/Out of Region/Groups
- $15 for DCPS/DC Public Charter
- FREE Title I DCPS/ DC Public Charter Schools fees are covered by donations and grants
- $20 Faculty/Chaperone Fee
