General registration for the 22nd Annual GCDC Spring Model UN Conference will open in January 2026! Stay tuned for more details.

The annual Spring Model UN Conference serves as the culminating event of the school year in partnership with the U.S. Department of State and Pan American Health Organization. Keynote speakers at this event have included former U.S. Secretaries of State such as Condoleezza Rice, Hillary Clinton, Rex Tillerson, and Antony Blinken.

Eligibility

The Spring Conference is open to all middle and high school students in grades 5 – 12.

Final Registration & Payment deadline: TBD. Schools that have not submitted their payment by this deadline will not be able to attend the conference. Groups may pay via check made out to "UNA-NCA" mailed to the UNA-NCA office or pay online.

Media Release Forms
Signed media release forms for all attending students are mandatory and must be submitted prior to participation. The Media Release Form will be made available upon completion of registration.

Position Papers

In order to be eligible for a committee award, delegations must submit one (1) position paper per country (i.e. if three delegates are representing the United States, they will only submit one position paper between the three of them).

There will also be an awards for each committee. Position paper requirements and guidelines can be found at the end of each background guide.

The following steps will be required for submission: 
- Email Subject Line: Country Name, Committee and School (Ex: USA, UNSC, GCDC - Position Paper) 
- Position Papers must be attached to email as a pdf. 
- Refer to background guides for Position Paper formats for Spring 2026.
*Please note: Position Paper submission are required to be eligible for research and committee awards* 

Student Secretary General Application

The Student Secretary General has the opportunity to address delegates in opening ceremonies. Students interested in serving as the Secretary General for the conference are encouraged to apply. 
 
Eligibility:
Students of schools registered for the Spring 2026 Conference. 
Middle or high school students that have at least one year of Model UN experience.

Application
To apply, please submit the following items:

(i) 5 minute video answering two questions: 
  • What will you bring to the conference as Secretary-General? 
  • What does Model UN mean to you?
(ii) A 500 word draft of your opening remarks.
(iii) List of out past MUN Experiences in the email or send a resume reflecting the same.

The deadline for all required information will be released once registration opens.
